Aloha from Virginia

Aloha from Fairfax, Virginia! What a great way to keep in touch with one another. Thank you, Benny, for doing this. I have a favor to ask. My boss and his family are going to Maui in July to celebrate his in-laws' 50th anniversary. They're trying to create t-shirts for this event and wanted to know how to say "Happy Anniversary" in Hawaiian. I didn't think there was a Hawaiian phrase for this, but please let me know if there is one.

John and I are doing fine, and have very special memories of visiting with our classmates & their spouses at the 35th class reunion. John so enjoyed the week's activities, and was especially moved by the chapel service on Sunday. Thank you for your kindness and aloha.

Talk to you soon.

According to the Pukui/Elbert Hawaiian Dicationary there are two ways to say anniversary 1)Piha makahiki 2)la ho'omana'o (there is a kahako over the "a" in la) It seems most appropriate to say "Hau'oli la ho'omana'o"
like "Hau'oli la hanau". Don't forget the kahako over the "la".
