Loved your post Bimo, it's so good to know that your essence hasn't changed. We may have changed on the outside but growing up doesn't have to mean growing old.
Our daughter, Anna and I are back in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Kimo and Andrew (our son) live in Huntsville, AL. Kimo travels a lot now and we expect he'll be here at least once a month, hopefully twice or more, but now that Anna's going to intermediate (when was the last time we heard that) school, I wanted her to go back to the school she thrived and flourished in. We have a mini group of HAwaiians in this Northern, VA area and Anna and I learned to hula here!
Huntsville, also has a little enclave of alumni albeit a decade and more younger but still it's a little bit of Hawaii nei. We've got together at one of the Pake restaurants there. One thing about being in the South, we can usually spot da kanakas.
We're hoping to go home for retirement which hopefully will be sooner than later. Again, Benny thank you for initiating this blog page. I'm on board.
a hui hou,
M.E. Bacon
